Anita & Gary Grover (Founders)

Anita and I started Back To Basics Behavioral Health Services, Inc in 2006.  We are committed to serve children with intellectual disabilities throughout York County, Maine.  Our vision is to provide caring, competent, reliable treatment plan focused in-home support to individuals with intellectual disabilities.  We want to make a difference in the lives of people with special needs.  As parents of a son with autism, we know firsthand the struggles special needs families deal with daily.  Our experiences with our son have been our guiding light. We love what we do and look forward to helping several others in the future!

Nicholas Grover (CEO/Owner)

I am the CEO of Back To Basics.  I have been a member of the Back to Basics team for a large majority of my life.  I work on a daily basis to ensure that each and every child on our caseload is receiving top quality support and service.  I know first hand what it is like to be a part of a family with a special needs member. Helping other families like mine has become my calling in life. Working with such an incredible team of highly skilled, caring individuals, brings me a tremendous amount of pride. We at Back to Basics have a MASSIVE mission to help every child and family in need in the state of Maine. We need all the help and support we can. So, are you ready to join the cause?

Tommy Darhower (Director / Program Manager)

I am a Program Manager for Back To Basics.  I have been a member of the team since May of 2017.  As a Program Manager I manage my case load of children by meeting with clients and their families to ensure they have the best possible treatment plan.  I supervise and guide the BHPs to best work on treatment goals for each individual child.  I can’t express through interpreted dance how excited I am to be a member of the Back To Basics family.  I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh where I studied psychology and social development.   Since then I have taught in an elementary school, honed my business skills in sales, and learned the meaning of hard work in the restaurant industry as a chef.  I am looking forward to applying the skills I have acquired with the same zeal and dedication that has afforded me successes in all my previous professional opportunities.  On a personal note, I am blessed with a wonderful wife, who is a currently a teacher, but previously was a Zoo Keeper (both at work and home) and two beautiful girls, Emily and Madison, who keep me busy when I am not working.   Please feel free any time to pull up a chair and chat as my door is always open.

Carrington Morgan (Director / Program Manager)

I am a Program Manager for Back To Basics. I have been a member of the team since October of 2018. As a Program Manager I manage my case load of children by meeting with clients and their families to ensure they have the best possible treatment plan. I supervise and guide the BHPs to best work on treatment goals for each individual child. I graduated from Colby-Sawyer College with a major in Sociology and a double minor in Psychology and Child Development. I pride myself on being personable, reliable and helpful; as well as always being fun and silly with clients and BHPs. Since I was young I have always dreamed of help children grow into the best possible versions of themselves, and Back to Basics has made this dream possible. In the words of one of my all-time favorite bands, “children have a heart of gold; sometimes they feel alone and sold. They need someone to be around to reach out a helping hand.” –Backstreet Boys
